A Note About Culture - From HQ
At League Joe, we build leagues that are primarily for FUN. We welcome brand new players to our sport and we help them improve and fall in love with the game, and become lifelong players. Just because we're fun, doesn't mean we don't appreciate heated competition. However, what happened during last nights games crossed several lines that we'd like to discuss.
Good sportsmanship is a choice, and when 100% of our players choose it, our league is the most caring and fun league to be a part of. There's no stress, there's no drama, just smiles and high fives for both your teammates and the opponent.
But if just 1% chooses another path, that becomes a toxic sludge that infects others. Negative attitudes bring everyone down around them, and negative attitudes are what turn new players off from our game, and are the reason our sport is shrinking.
For those players who chose to argue rather than celebrate, or swear rather than praise, or fight rather than celebrate - this is your one and only warning. Look in the mirror this morning and ask yourself if it was worth it, and if the answer is "yes" then we ask that you don't sign up again for our summer session or any future season of League Joe. It's not a culture fit for you, and that's OK. However - if the answer is "no", and maybe you just let the energy get to your head a bit, then come back to the summer fresh and leave everything about this season behind you.
We have barely started promoting our Summer session and already have 30 signed up players, so we're encouraged about growing this league by at least 1 or two more teams. If you are a new player who is on the fence about re-joining because of what you saw last night, then please reach out and let us know how we can make your experience feel safe and welcoming (use the link below).
Nobody goes pro from playing League Joe. But people do find lifelong friends, family, and the joy of playing a kids game again and we are fiercely protective of that.
Leave the drama and the bullshit in the trunk of your car and come to the fields ready to love and laugh, or go find a different league to play in.

With that said, our Summer Session IS LIVE! As mentioned, already 30 players have signed up so if you are coming back, make sure to get your name on that list. Note: Now that our Spring Mini-Season is out of the way, we are going to our traditional 8-week format with sublimated custom jerseys for the players. So when you see the price change, that reflects a 16 game schedule rather than a 10-game schedule.
